We are seeking a mid to senior-level Power BI professional with strong experience in data modelling, dashboard development, and cloud-based data platformsparticularly AWS. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to deliver scalable, high-quality reporting and analytics solutions that drive decision making.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for business and operational insights
- Build efficient data models using Power BI, DAX, and Power Query.
- Translate business requirements into clear analytical solutions and visualizations.
- Connect Power BI to a variety of data sources, including AWS services.
- Optimize performance of datasets, reports, and dashboards.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams on data pipelines and architecture.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security best practices.
- Support and mentor junior BI team members (senior level).
- Document solutions and contribute to BI standards and best practices
Required Skills & Experience.
- Power BI & Analytics
- 37+ years of experience in BI / data analytics roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including:
DAX
Power Query (M)
Data modelling (star/snowflake schemas)
Strong data visualisation and storytelling skills
AWS & Data Platforms
- Experience working with AWS, such as: Amazon Redshi & S3
- Understanding of cloud-based data architectures
- Experience integrating Power BI with AWS-hosted data sources
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience with ETL / ELT concepts
- Understanding of data warehousing principles
- Familiarity with version control (e.g. Git) is a plus
Nice to Have
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages
- Exposure to CI/CD for BI or data pipelines
- Power BI Service administration and workspace management
- Experience in Agile or product-led environments
- Microsoft or AWS certifications
