Power BI Developer

Job Summary:

Your primary responsibility will be to develop, optimize, and maintain Power BI solutions that support data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will work closely with business representatives to capture requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient BI solutions. A strong understanding of backend data structures is essential, and experience with full-stack development and BI project leadership is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• collaborate with solution architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and outline bi solution designs
• elicit requirements through workshops and interviews with subject matter experts and process owners
• design, develop, and maintain interactive power bi dashboards and reports with intuitive and visually appealing visualizations
• perform data cleansing, transformation, and modeling to ensure data accuracy and consistency
• apply best practices in power bi development including dax optimization, data modeling, and performance tuning
• capture and translate business needs into scalable bi solutions for end-users
• implement and enforce data governance policies, security controls, and access management in the power bi environment
• provide training and support to users on effectively using dashboards and reports
• stay updated on latest power bi trends and best practices and share insights with the team
• support ad-hoc data analysis and reporting requests to deliver accurate business insights

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in power bi development (desktop, service, power query)
• bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field
• strong proficiency in dax and m language for calculations and transformations
• solid understanding of data modeling and database performance optimization
• experience working with backend data structures, sql, data warehouses, etl processes
• familiarity with microsoft fabric, azure, microsoft 365, and dynamics 365
• experience with open-source tools like dax studio, tabular editor
• experience leading bi projects and translating business needs into scalable solutions
• knowledge of full-stack development for scenarios requiring power bi integration with web tools
• excellent communication skills with the ability to present to non-technical audiences
