Key Responsibilities:
- Dashboard Design and Development: Build and deploy interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
- UI/UX Prototyping with Figma: Work with stakeholders to create wireframes and prototypes, ensuring user-friendly and consistent visual experiences
- Figma to Power BI Implementation: Translate Figma designs into functional dashboards, following UI/UX best practices
- DAX Development: Write advanced DAX formulas to derive business metrics and implement logic within the data model
- SQL Querying and Optimization: Develop and fine-tune SQL queries, including joins, window functions, CTEs, and stored procedures
- Data Modeling: Design efficient data models using star/snowflake schemas, aligning with best practices in data warehousing
- Security Implementation: Apply row-level security (RLS) and other access controls within Power BI to protect sensitive data
- Performance Tuning: Identify and implement techniques to optimize dashboard performance and responsiveness
- Data Source Integration: Connect Power BI to a variety of data sources including cloud platforms, APIs, and enterprise databases
- Stakeholder Communication: Present analytical findings, design concepts, and technical strategies clearly to stakeholders
- Requirements Gathering: Lead and participate in user interviews and workshops to define and refine BI requirements
- Agile Collaboration: Engage in Agile ceremonies (e.g., stand-ups, sprint planning) and contribute to the timely delivery of tasks
- Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation for dashboards, data models, logic, and development processes
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current on updates in Power BI, Figma, and industry standards to enhance solution quality and efficiency
Required Skills:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in BI and Data Analytics
- Strong hands-on expertise in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
- Advanced DAX skills including CALCULATE, measures, calculated columns, and time intelligence
- Proficiency in Figma for UI/UX wireframing and design
- Expertise in SQL, including complex joins, CTEs, window functions, and stored procedures
- Solid understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modeling (star and snowflake schemas)
- Experience integrating with cloud-based data sources such as Azure Synapse, SQL Server on Azure (preferred)
- Proven ability to gather and translate business requirements into BI solutions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Ability to thrive in Agile/Scrum team environments
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related quantitative field
