Job Description

Power BI Developer (4-5 Years Experience)

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer with 4-5 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying Business Intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, data modeling, Power Automate, and SharePoint Lists, with the ability to transform business requirements into insightful dashboards, reports, and workflow automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Report Development & Data Modeling

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
• Convert business problems into technical solutions using DAX, Power Query, and data modeling best practices.
• Optimize report performance through efficient data modeling, relationships, and query optimization.
• Develop and publish reports in Power BI Service, ensuring proper workspace and access management.
• Build robust data models (star schema/snowflake schema) using Power BI Desktop.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes using Power Query (M Language) and integrate data from multiple sources including SQL Server, SharePoint Lists, Excel, APIs, and cloud platforms.
• Ensure data accuracy, quality, and consistency across reports and dashboards.
• Design scalable datasets and implement Row-Level Security (RLS) where required.

Power Automate & SharePoint Solutions

• Develop and maintain Power Automate workflows to streamline business processes, automate approvals, notifications, and data movement between systems.
• Create and manage SharePoint Lists as data repositories for business applications and reporting solutions.
• Integrate Power BI reports with SharePoint Online and automate report distribution using Power Automate.

Collaboration & Requirements Gathering

• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand KPIs, and design BI and automation solutions.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to define and deliver data structures that support reporting and analytical needs.
• Present dashboards, insights, and automated business solutions to functional and leadership teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4-5 years of experience in Power BI development and business intelligence reporting.
• Strong expertise in:
• Power BI Desktop & Power BI Service
• DAX (Advanced)
• Power Query (M Language)
• Data Modeling & ETL Concepts
• Power Automate
• SharePoint Online & SharePoint Lists
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, validation, and analysis.
• Experience integrating Power BI with SharePoint, Microsoft 365, databases, cloud platforms, and REST APIs.
• Good understanding of data warehousing concepts (star schema, fact & dimension tables).
• Experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and managing Power BI workspaces.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver scalable solutions.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Power Apps development and integration with SharePoint Lists.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform governance and administration.
• Familiarity with other BI tools such as Tableau.
• Exposure to Python or R for advanced analytics.
