Power BI Consultant - SQL

Role Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into interactive dashboards
• Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards that offer clear, actionable insights
• Create wireframes and design prototypes using Figma to visualize and communicate dashboard layouts and interactions
• Apply data visualization best practices to ensure usability and clarity in report delivery
• Build and maintain Power BI data models to support analytical needs
• Conduct data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and business opportunities
• Provide user training and support on Power BI dashboard usage and functionality
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and implement continuous improvements
• Test and validate data accuracy and integrity across reporting systems
• Implement data governance policies to maintain security, consistency, and compliance
• Keep up with the latest Power BI features, UX design trends, and visualization techniques
• Support project management efforts to ensure timely delivery of reporting solutions
• Document development processes, design specifications, and user guides
• Handle ad-hoc reporting needs as required by the business
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to a positive team environment

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in Power BI consulting and data visualization
• Proficiency in Figma for UI/UX design, wireframing, and prototyping
• Strong understanding of design thinking and visual storytelling techniques
• Proven experience with data analysis and data modeling principles
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a stakeholder-first mindset
• Experience working in Agile project environments
• Ability to manage and deliver multiple projects with tight deadlines
• Proficient in SQL for data querying and transformation
• Familiarity with DAX and Power Query for advanced analytics
• Experience in implementing and following data governance standards
• Ability to deliver effective training sessions and provide ongoing user support
• Strong knowledge of BI tools, methodologies, and reporting frameworks
• Self-driven and capable of working independently in a remote setup
