Job Designation: Database administrator – Postgres
Job Summary
Responsible for administration of Postgres databases with secondary skills in administration of DB2, Oracle, MS-SQL, Clickhouse, Neo4J.
Skill Requirements:
· 4+ years of experience in Postgres database administration
· DB design (Architecture design principles, modelling, partitioning, setting standards and normalisation), installation, managing schemas, performance tuning, parameter tuning, storage management, DB maintenance, patching, upgrade, back-up & recovery, High availability ,replication and capacity planning.
· Coding Stored procedures
· Working with Linux OS including shell scripting.
· Strong experience in AWS and Azure environment.
· Experience with an organisation with reliance on 24x7 database services.
· Must be an initiative-taker & analytical person with good communication and interpersonal skills.
Key competencies
· Postgres database administration
· Skills on other database technologies like DB2, Oracle, MS-SQL, Clickhouse
· Cloud services - AWS and Azure.
