One of our client hiring a Senior PostgreSQL Specialist to lead enterprise-scale database modernization and migration initiatives. This is a high-impact role focused on performance engineering, database architecture, and large-scale data systems.

Mandatory Skills (Strict Screening Criteria)

PostgreSQL (Internals, Performance Tuning, Indexing) – 5+ Years

Oracle to PostgreSQL Migration (AlloyDB preferred) – 3+ Years

Strong hands-on experience with PL/SQL and PL/pgSQL

Expertise in Query Optimization, Partitioning, and Indexing (GIN, GiST, BRIN)

Database Architecture and High Availability Design

Working experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Key Responsibilities

Lead Oracle to PostgreSQL or AlloyDB migration initiatives

Re-engineer stored procedures, triggers, and packages from PL/SQL to PL/pgSQL

Design and implement high-performance PostgreSQL architectures

Perform deep performance tuning, including VACUUM, WAL, query planning, and caching

Optimize large-scale workloads for high-concurrency environments

Ensure data integrity, validation, and zero data loss during migration

Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD and cloud-native deployments
