We're seeking a skilled and proactive PostgreSQL DBA Professional to manage our PostgreSQL database systems. Key Responsibilities

• Database Object Management: Create and manage database objects such as triggers, indexes, and other necessary structures.
• Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Continuously monitor the performance of the database and ensure optimum performance through tuning and optimization efforts.
• Proactive Issue Resolution: Identify potential issues in the database early to solve them proactively, minimizing impact.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery: Maintain robust backups and perform effective disaster recovery in case of data loss or system failures.
• Security Management: Monitor database security diligently and implement measures to prevent any unauthorized access to the database.
• Scheduled Maintenance: Schedule and execute consistent maintenance on the database server to ensure its health and efficiency.
• Schema Management: Maintain and manage the database schema, ensuring consistency and integrity.
• Database Availability: Proactively manage and ensure high database availability to support business operations.
• Best Practice Guidance: Provide best practice guidance to the development team on database interactions and design.
• Production Support: Resolve any production data issues swiftly and effectively.
• Tablespace Management: Efficiently manage tablespaces to ensure optimal storage utilization and performance.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven expertise in managing PostgreSQL database systems.
• Strong experience in creating and managing database objects (triggers, indexes, etc.).
• Demonstrated ability in database performance monitoring and optimization.
• Proficiency in identifying and resolving potential database issues.
• Hands-on experience with database backup and disaster recovery procedures.
• Solid understanding of database security principles and preventing unauthorized access.
• Experience in scheduling and performing routine database maintenance.
• Familiarity with database schema management and ensuring high availability.
• Ability to provide best practice guidance to development teams.
• Proven track record in resolving production data issues.
• Expertise in tablespace management.
