Portfolio Officer - Agri Business

A Portfolio Officer in agri-business is typically responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of agricultural clients by offering financial products like loans, and ensuring the health and performance of that portfolio. Key duties include client relationship management, credit and legal evaluation, risk monitoring, cross-selling other products, and supporting business growth targets. 

Key responsibilities

• Client and portfolio management: Build and deepen relationships with clients, monitor accounts for delinquencies, and ensure portfolio hygiene.
• Business development: Source new clients, cross-sell liability and third-party products to existing clients, and develop channel partnerships to meet business volumes.
• Financial product delivery: Promote and provide tailored loan products, such as working capital and term loans, to meet client needs.
• Due diligence and compliance: Conduct field investigations, prepare credit appraisal notes, and ensure legal aspects are scrutinized.
• Risk and compliance: Monitor accounts regularly for delinquencies, ensure security perfection, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
• Collaboration: Engage with internal teams like credit, legal, and risk functions to address customer requirements.
