About the Role
The
Investment Portfolio Manager – Wealth Management is responsible for designing and executing investment strategies tailored to client needs. This role involves asset allocation, product selection, portfolio construction, and ongoing portfolio management. The incumbent will work closely with the sales team to support product penetration and provide research-backed investment solutions. The role demands deep knowledge of financial markets, wealth management products, and client-centric financial planning.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Implementation of investment strategies including asset allocation, sub asset calss views and focused products in client portfolios.
- Stay updated on equity and debt markets through regular review of investment reports and market insights.
- Prepare financial plans and investment proposals aligned with clients financial goals.
- Construct and rebalance portfolios as needed to maintain optimal asset allocation.
- Support the sales team with product knowledge and research to enhance client engagement.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Engage with clients to understand their financial needs and provide tailored investment solutions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines in all investment recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align investment strategies with broader wealth management goals.
What We Are Looking For
Education
- Graduation: Any discipline (Full-Time) with CFP or similar certifications
- Postgraduation: CA / MBA / PGDM in Finance (Preferred)
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in investment advisory, portfolio management, or wealth management.
Skills and Attributes
- Strong understanding of asset classes including equity, fixed income, real estate, commodities, and international markets.
- In-depth knowledge of wealth management products such as Mutual funds, PMS, AIFs, and alternate investments.
- Familiarity with taxation implications of various investment products.
- Proficiency in portfolio and research tools like MorningStar, ACE MF, Bloomberg, etc.
- Strong analytical and interpretative skills.
- Excellent presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Self-driven, trustworthy, and a team player with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Fluent in English with strong business communication skills.
