Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Product development team in India to explore new business opportunities. The Business Development Manager will lead several projects being responsible for developing and managing business cases, driving the execution of the commercial side and working closely with our partners, R&D and Business Operations.

As a part of this team, you will be responsible for managing set of innovative projects. Your tasks will cover the entire project life cycle including elements such as opportunity identification, project scoping, business case preparation, presentation of recommendations and project execution & implementation. It will also include identifying & executing clinical studies. An important aspect in being successful in this area is to work closely with R&D, commercial & business operations to sufficiently understand the technical details and translate them into commercial opportunities.

The position will be based out of Kochi with around thirty percent travel and will report directly into the Chief of operations, Aurea Biolabs.

Qualifications

  • Have a Master/PhD in Science or Engineering, preferred with MBA
  • Have 5+ years of experience from business development, marketing, portfolio management, innovation, consulting or similar domain.
  • Experience in Chemistry/chemical or Industrial process will be a plus
  • Possess very strong problem solving and analytical skills to address complex problems in a structured approach and identify key issues
  • A go-getter attitude and great networking skills to build relations with partners and customers & peers.
  • A team player with desire and curiosity for a fast-paced learning curve, who is self-driven and thrives working independently in new areas while connecting and leveraging cross functional teams.
  • Excellent people and communication skills (written & spoken English) and the ability to engage with internal and external senior level stakeholders.
  • Commercial experience and proven skills in developing and commercializing complex technical products will be preferred
  • The ability to handle several challenges at once while maintaining focus and a positive attitude
  • Excellent portfolio management skills, and a strategic mindset
