Job Description

Finance Analyst / Portfolio Management Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update & Maintain Portfolio Data:
  • Keep real estate and debt portfolio details and valuation metrics up-to-date for existing and newly added properties.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Responsible for preparing and updating quarterly packages for senior stakeholders, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and SEC reports.
  • Investor Reporting:
  • Ensure accurate data for investor communications, such as quarterly letters, marketing materials, and fund performance reports.
  • Database Management:
  • Maintain and enhance databases related to acquisitions, dispositions, peer comparisons, and performance attribution for real estate portfolios.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with various teams to provide data updates and generate investor materials as needed.
  • Variance Analysis:
  • Perform detailed analysis to identify key trends, investigate unusual items, and provide variance analysis with clear explanations.
  • Special Projects:
  • Undertake ad-hoc analyses and business case evaluations based on stakeholder needs.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
  • Ensure compliance and proper risk management throughout financial and reporting processes.
  • Operational Efficiency:
  • Proactively seek opportunities to streamline processes and improve reporting methods.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Educational Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Master's degree or CFA designation is a plus.
  • Real Estate Knowledge:
  • Understanding of REIT products, private equity, real estate, and fund structures.
  • Strong Analytical Skills:
  • Expertise in financial modeling and valuation, with exceptional quantitative skills.
  • Tools Expertise:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), with experience in Tableau, Essbase, or similar platforms being a plus.
  • Communication & Collaboration:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders effectively.
  • Attention to Detail:
  • Acute focus on data accuracy, consistency, and validation with high attention to detail.
  • Project Management:
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.
