About The Role
The Sr Manager, Portfolio Services Operations, will play a pivotal leadership role in driving the strategic and operational excellence of our global Portfolio Services delivery out of Hyderabad. This position is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of critical services, including Data Management, Lease Abstraction, Rent Management, and Platform support teams ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
This leader will be instrumental in optimizing service delivery in Hyderabad, partnering closely with Global Portfolio Services Delivery, Account Management and Client Service Leads to seamlessly integrate and sustain operations for clients worldwide. The Sr Manager will directly manage a large team of approximately 100 professionals and cultivate strong stakeholder relationships across the organization. This role demands a proactive, results-oriented leader capable of operating independently in a complex, global environment, driving continuous improvement, resource optimization, and alignment with the broader Portfolio Services and Business Services Operations (BSO) strategy.
What You'll Do
- Direct and oversee the daily service delivery for global clients, ensuring all agreed-upon service levels (quality, turnaround time, cost) are consistently met or exceeded.
- Drive operational excellence initiatives across all Portfolio Services teams, implementing best practices, standardizing processes, and leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve operational and integration challenges both pre- and post-transition for assigned clients, developing robust solutions for sustainable success.
- Collaborating with the BSO Project Transformation Lead and Global platform leads to ensure seamless integration of people, systems, and processes into the target operating model for new and existing client portfolios.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of approximately 100 direct and matrix reports, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and innovation.
- Oversee all aspects of talent management, including strategic workforce planning, recruitment, selection, training, performance management, coaching, and retention strategies.
- Monitor and manage appropriate staffing levels, utilization, and deployment of human resources to maximize productivity and meet evolving business demands.
- Embody and promote the company's values, leading by example and inspiring a highly engaged and motivated workforce.
- Hold local P&L responsibility for Portfolio Services operations, ensuring service delivery remains within agreed-upon budgets.
- Collaborating with Finance leads to preparing and managing annual budgets, identifying opportunities for cost efficiencies and value creation.
- Effectively manage client expectations and relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and proactive communication.
- Partner with stakeholders to develop and implement initiatives that optimize operational performance and business support.
- Lead and contribute to process redesign projects, evaluating alternative processing strategies and implementing solutions that promote effective, efficient, and economic business practices.
- Drive the consistency and effectiveness of operational processes and procedures, initiating and overseeing continuous improvements
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university required; an advanced degree (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 12 years of progressive leadership and service delivery experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role overseeing large, geographically dispersed teams.
- Proven experience managing business operations within a customer-focused service firm, preferably with a multi-location or global delivery model.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing Data Management, Lease Abstraction, and Rent Management operations within a real estate or financial services context is highly preferred.
- Experience in Lease Accounting, Financial Operations, and Staff Management is essential
- In-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles, with the ability to review and interpret complex financial analysis and reports.
- Expert-level analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to solve complex problems and evaluate diverse options.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financial and HR platforms is preferred.
- Familiarity with data management tools, real estate software (e.g., MRI, Yardi, Tririga), and relevant industry technology is a strong advantage.
- Superior stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and influence across all levels of the organization and with global clients.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, including the ability to comprehend, analyse, and interpret complex business documents.
- Ability to write compelling reports, manuals, and articles with a distinctive style.
- Strong presentation skills, capable of delivering effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, and senior management.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate, negotiate, and drive desired actions from key employees, management, and client groups.
- High degree of independent judgment, problem-solving ability, and initiative, with the capacity to operate effectively with minimal supervision in complex environments.
- Ability to travel as required.
