The opportunity:

The PLM Engineer will be responsible for bringing Distribution Transformer product data into PTC Windchill, enabling full Configure-to-Order (CTO) capability. This role focuses on translating configured data from the Sales Configurator into accurate Engineering or Product BOMs within PLM, ensuring correct metadata, relationships, and Super BOM rule logic are applied.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Define and document BOM relationship rules, constraints, dependencies, and option logic. Perform onboarding, structuring, and validation of Distribution Transformer product data into Windchill.

  • Maintain EBOM structures, lifecycle states, and revision control. Ensure alignment of PLM data with Configure-to-Order process requirements.

  • Document, maintain, and refine Super BOM structures in Windchill. Ensure existing Super BOM rules correctly represent engineering logic and CTO options.

  • Maintain all required metadata, attributes, and configuration parameters in PLM. Use configured selections from the Sales Configurator to generate the correct product BOM in Windchill.

  • Ensure configured BOMs include correct components, variants, ratings, and metadata. Validate that created BOMs matches expected engineering and sales configuration rules.

  • Ensure synchronization between Sales configuration logic and PLM structures. Ensure proper change management and PLM governance is followed.

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Product Management, and IT teams for data alignment. Provide PLM training and support to Engineering users when needed.

  • Validate accuracy of configured BOMs generated in Windchill. Troubleshoot mapping issues, rule conflicts, and BOM inconsistencies. Support testing for Windchill updates, enhancements, and integrations.

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline. 2-5 years of experience in PLM Engineering, Product Configuration, or Product Data Management.

  • Hands-on experience with PTC Windchill (product structures, BOMs, metadata, change management). Knowledge of Configure-to-Order (CTO) processes and variant configuration.

  • Experience working with Sales Configurators such as E-config or similar CPQ tools. Understanding of Super BOMs, rules-based configuration, and data mapping.

  • Experience with transformer or electrical equipment products is an added advantage. Strong analytical and logical reasoning abilities.

  • Detail-oriented with strong ownership and accountability. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
