Job Title: PLM Architect – PTC Windchill

Location: Bangalore/Pune/Hyderabad, India (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Full Time/Contract

About the Role:

This position is for a PLM Architect – PTC Windchill with extensive experience in end‑to‑end PLM implementations within the Discrete Manufacturing domain. The role focuses on architecting scalable Windchill solutions, leading discovery workshops, defining integration strategies, and ensuring successful delivery across design, build, test, and deployment phases.

This role may involve working with or supporting one of MatchPoint Solutions client organizations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct discovery workshops to understand business needs, document current‑state processes, and identify functional gaps or pain points.
• Architect comprehensive Windchill solutions, including product structures, change/configuration management, lifecycles, workflows, and access roles.
• Evaluate OOTB (Out‑of‑the‑Box) features vs. customization requirements; prepare fit‑gap analyses and detailed solution design documentation.
• Define robust integration strategies between Windchill and enterprise systems such as ERP, MES, QMS, or engineering toolchains.
• Develop end‑to‑end data migration strategies including ETL design, data cleansing rules, validation scenarios, and cutover sequencing.
• Provide expert leadership and guidance during solution design, build, testing, and deployment to ensure system integrity and performance.
• Contribute to release planning, environment strategy, and long‑term roadmap development for the PLM landscape.

Qualifications:

Required:

• 10+ years of experience in the PLM domain.
• At least two end‑to‑end PLM implementation projects completed within the Discrete Manufacturing industry.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with PTC Windchill architecture and solution design.
• Proven experience in workflows, lifecycles, configuration management, and Windchill core modules.
• Strong understanding of integration methods with ERP/MES/QMS/engineering systems.
• Experience with data migration methodologies including extraction, transformation, validation, and cutover planning.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and provide technical direction throughout project phases.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
