A leading manufacturer of engineered steel and fiber reinforced polymer construction products from South East Asia managed by French entrepreneurs is looking for PLC Maintenance engineers with three to five years of working experience at its State of Art Pune manufacturing operations involving robotic maintenance applications.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a PLC trouble shooting Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of industrial robots used in manufacturing processes and its Back up programs. Your role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and conducting repairs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. You will work closely with engineering and production teams to support the operation of robotic systems as well as all PLC systems and contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the manufacturing process. Knowledge of PLC programming and Troubleshooting is must.
Responsibilities:
- Routine Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on industrial robots according to manufacturer specifications and maintenance schedules. Inspect, clean, and lubricate robot components to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with robotic systems, including mechanical, electrical, and programming problems. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Repairs: Repair or replace defective robot components, including motors, sensors, actuators, controllers, and cables. Perform calibration and alignment procedures to restore proper functionality and accuracy.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in the maintenance and operation of robotic systems. Implement safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks to personnel and equipment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history. Document equipment modifications, upgrades, and troubleshooting procedures for future reference.
- Spare Parts Management: Monitor spare parts inventory and reorder components as needed to support maintenance activities. Coordinate with procurement and inventory management teams to ensure timely availability of critical parts and supplies.
- Training and Support: Provide training and technical support to production operators and maintenance personnel on the operation and maintenance of robotic systems. Share knowledge and best practices to enhance team capabilities and effectiveness.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization in robot maintenance and operation. Implement best practices, tools, and technologies to increase efficiency, reliability, and uptime.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
Educational Background:
- Associate degree or technical diploma in PLC programming and troubleshooting, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in industrial PLC maintenance and automation repair, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of robotic systems, including mechanical, electrical, and programming aspects.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, technical manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
- Experience with robotic programming languages (e.g., Nachi, ABB, FANUC) is a plus.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and standards applicable to industrial robotics.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
