Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Playwright Automation Engineer with SDET expertise and IBM BAW knowledge to join our Software Engineering team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in building robust automation frameworks, ensuring high-quality digital banking solutions, and supporting assisted banking platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright
  • Write clean, efficient, and reusable code using JavaScript and TypeScript
  • Implement end-to-end, functional, and regression test automation
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure product quality
  • Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines
  • Work closely with teams on IBM BAW (Business Automation Workflow) applications
  • Identify, log, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution
  • Improve test coverage, execution speed, and reliability of automation suites
  • Follow best practices in SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) methodologies

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in automation testing and coding
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript technologies
  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in TypeScript
  • Proven experience with Playwright (mandatory)
  • Experience with BDD tools like Cucumber
  • Good understanding of test automation frameworks and design patterns
  • Working knowledge of IBM BPM / IBM BAW products
  • Experience in API testing and UI testing
  • Familiarity with version control tools like Git
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in banking or financial services domain
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools is a plus
  • Strong debugging and analytical skills
