Job Summary:
The Web Methods Platform Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, monitoring, and performance optimization of Software AG‿s Web Methods Integration Platform. This role ensures high availability, security, and reliability of the integration environment while supporting development, testing, and production deployments.
Responsibilities:
Platform Administration & Support
- Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Web Methods components (Integration Server, Universal Messaging, API Gateway, Trading Networks, MWS, Optimize, Deployer, etc.).
- Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions in Web Methods environments.
- Maintain and administer Web Methods environments across DEV, QA, UAT, and PROD.
Monitoring & Performance Management
- Monitor system health, performance, and capacity; take proactive measures to prevent issues.
- Implement and manage logging, auditing, and alerting tools for Web Methods components.
- Tune JVM parameters, thread pools, and connection pools for optimal performance.
Deployment & Change Management
- Manage deployments using Deployer and other automated tools.
- Support CI/CD pipelines for Web Methods integrations.
- Coordinate release activities.
Mandatory Skills:
- Proven experience in Web Methods Integration Platform administration.
- Strong knowledge of Web Methods components and their configurations.
- Experience with performance tuning and monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud based Web Methods deployments.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
