Platform Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Execute and refine cloud infrastructure automation strategy, architecture, and standards.
• Drive best practices and continuous improvement for the Intelligent Automation (IA) program.
• Enable Hyper Automation Architecture, integrating multiple Intelligent Automation capabilities:
• RPA, NLP, OCR, Process Mining, Task Mining, and Conversational AI.
• Reduce provisioning time for cloud infrastructure services.
• Enhance user satisfaction with self-service functions.
• Improve service uptime by automating manual, error-prone changes.
• Minimize hand-offs between teams to streamline operations.
• Maximize flexibility for developers and app owners in consuming cloud services.
• Ensure reusability and maintainability of automation assets.
• Evaluate adjacent Intelligent Automation technologies and contribute to the program roadmap.
• Identify automation opportunities, define approaches, and design solution architecture.
• Lead efforts to codify, deploy, and operate assets for prioritized automation projects.

• Track record of relationship-building with leadership at various levels.
• Strategic advisory experience for senior IT and business leaders.
• Expertise in IT strategy, standards, and architecture, particularly in automation and cloud services.
• Background in complex solution architecture in evolving technology domains.
• 4+ years as a solutions architect, enterprise architect, or consultant with a solution sales mindset.
• 2+ years focused on cloud environments and supporting infrastructures.
• Experience working with distributed cross-functional teams to drive customer success.

Technical Skills:

• Automation & Integration Technologies:
• Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible/Tower, Puppet/Chef, vRA/vRO, other orchestrators, configuration management frameworks.
• Development Languages:
• JavaScript, Python, Bash, Java.
• API Development & Architecture:
• JSON, microservices, API Gateways, SOA frameworks, ESBs, ETL pipelines.
• Cloud Infrastructure:
• AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, OpenStack, OpenShift, VMware vRealize Suite.
• Software-Defined Networking & Storage:
• Virtualization, containers, serverless technologies, big-data, and ML platforms.
• Familiarity with UiPath & Microsoft Power Platform.
• Security Fundamentals:
• Infrastructure, cloud, hypervisor, and operating system security.
