SUMMARY:
The Operations Manager falls under the Vice President, Global Operations. The Operations Manager is a senior role which involves overseeing the production, quality and flow of goods throughout the facility. This individual will be highly visible on the floor and available to the staff, leads by example, be detail oriented, inspire the team, and set a tone of precision, excellence and responsiveness to customers and stakeholders. Oversight responsibilities include but not limited to Receiving, Warehouse Management, Production, Quality, Shipping, Human Resource, Building and Grounds Maintenance, Health and Safety, Compliance, Equipment Maintenance, and calibration.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- BS Degree in Engineering or Management.
- A minimum of 8 years of plant leadership experience ideally in a job shop assembly environment.
- Experience supervising multiple disciplines including hourly, non-exempt and exempt personnel. Experience managing managers is preferred.
- Creative thinking, good judgment, effective communication, and a willingness to confront and address complex issues are essential.
- Knowledge and experience in managing a multi-shift fast-paced assembly and distribution manufacturing facility.
- Knowledge of problem-solving techniques such as Six Sigma or Theory of Constraints.
- Experience working in an AS9100D quality system.

- Monitor and drive all departments to meet their required metrics.
- Ensures continuous throughput by allocation of staff and equipment.
- Ensure all products meet specifications (Government, Suppliers, Customers, & Company).
- Provides leadership and ownership in assuring compliance in Safety, Health and Environmental.
- Demonstrates a customer focused response and mindset.
- Ensure that all equipment and tooling meet standards.
- Maintains the highest possible standards both internally and externally.
- Ensures that all administrative procedures / work instructions are followed completely.
- Works closely with Product and Sales on new opportunities.
- Monitor and support the plant culture evolution on a regular basis.
