Job Description
You will champion Health, Safety, Environmental, and Sustainability compliance and actively build a culture where safety is a core value, not just a priority. You will ensure compliance with all legal, technical, and quality standards, customer requirements, quality objectives, product specifications, and overall product integrity.
You will provide strong leadership for the deployment of Plant Optimization, aligning it with plant strategies and tactics to establish a successful and sustainable operating model. You will develop and lead pillar teams and Focused Improvement projects, and once deployed, leverage Plant Optimization to deliver measurable business results.
You will drive high engagement among shop-floor teams and ensure achievement of all performance targets. You will understand and manage union-related matters, align union perspectives with business growth and management expectations, and support leadership in group dynamics and the successful execution of Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA).
You will create and sustain a high-performance culture by promoting the growth and development of Manufacturing Unit staff and associates through continuous coaching, mentoring, training, development, and compliance.
You will lead manufacturing unit performance by setting clear objectives aligned with overall plant goals, including safety, cost, quality, waste reduction, delivery, and inventory. You will develop and manage manufacturing unit budgets covering capital expenditure, labor, production/operations, and maintenance, and you will be accountable for meeting all budget objectives.
You will monitor and control costs related to labor, materials, and equipment. You will follow structured plans and processes to minimize total delivered cost through optimal utilization of people, equipment, materials, and capital, while consistently meeting customer requirements and business deliverables.
