Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership: Oversee day-to-day operations of the 40 MW coal washery
reject-based power plant, ensuring maximum efficiency, availability, and reliability.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor and assess plant performance,
identify operational bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to ensure
consistent and optimal performance.
Team Management: Lead, guide, and mentor a team of engineers, technicians, and
other staff in executing operations, maintenance, and safety protocols.
Maintenance Oversight: Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule and
oversee planned maintenance activities, ensuring minimal downtime and timely
resolution of issues.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost
reduction, and efficiency improvements, particularly related to the handling and
processing of coal washery rejects.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to safety, health, and environmental
standards. Implement best practices for operational safety and compliance with
regulatory requirements.
Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage the operational budget,
ensuring resource allocation is in line with plant goals and operational requirements.
Reporting: Provide regular reports on plant performance, issues, and progress to the
Whole Time Director and Business Head.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E. Mechanical).
Experience: Minimum of 25 years of hands-on experience in power plant operations,
with a proven track record in efficiently managing coal-fired power plants.
Preferred: Experience in handling coal washery reject-based power plants is highly
preferred.
Leadership Experience: Demonstrated ability to manage and lead large teams of
technical staff in a high-pressure, operational environment.
Skills & Competencies:
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of power plant operations, particularly coalfired
plants and coal washery reject processing.
Leadership & People Management: Strong leadership skills with experience in
managing diverse teams of engineers, technicians, and support staff.
Process Optimization: Ability to identify and implement process improvements to
optimize plant performance and reduce operational costs.
Safety & Compliance: In-depth understanding of plant safety regulations,
environmental standards, and compliance procedures.
Problem Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the
ability to think strategically and act decisively.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the
ability to report to senior management and interact effectively with various
stakeholders.
Budgeting & Resource Management: Proven experience in managing operational
budgets, resources, and timelines to achieve plant goals.
