Job Description

We are seeking a Plant Head to oversee all day-to-day operations of the plant. This role is crucial for managing production planning, ensuring quality control, and leading a team to meet all operational and financial targets.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day plant operations including production planning, maintenance, quality control, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and manage production schedules to meet volume, cost, and quality targets.
  • Ensure products meet established quality standards and actively address deviations.
  • Enforce and promote adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives leveraging Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, or other lean methodologies.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor plant supervisors and personnel.
  • Develop and manage operational budgets; optimize cost through resource planning and efficiency.
  • Track key metrics (e.g., OEE, man-hour costs, production yield) and initiate corrective actions.
  • Collaborate closely with procurement, logistics, quality, engineering, and R&D teams.
  • Present regular operational performance updates and improvement proposals to senior management.
  • Ensure uptime via preventive maintenance and timely troubleshooting.
  • Monitor customer feedback and respond promptly to issues like defects or delays.

Skills Required

  • Strong knowledge of plant operations and production management.
  • Expertise in lean methodologies such as Six Sigma, 5S, and Kaizen.
  • Experience in budgeting and cost optimization.
  • Proven ability to track and analyze key performance metrics.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong focus on safety and quality control.
  • Collaborative mindset for working with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintenance management.
