About The Role

This position directly reports to VP Finance. The Finance controller is responsible for overseeing the entire Plant

finance function (India and International), ensuring strong financial reporting and analysis, day to day accounting

at plant, cost control and inventory management, improving plant efficiency, negotiating vendor terms, return on

investments at plant and calculate payback on investment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Cost Management & Analysis: Establish standard costs, Conduct in-depth manufacturing cost variance analysis (material, labor, overhead), and drive cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis - Conduct in-depth manufacturing cost variance analysis (material, labor, overhead) and present to management
  • Managing day to day and period end accounting of Plant operation
  • Inventory Management: Establish standard costs, manage inventory valuation, and oversee physical inventory
  • Support in liquidation of slow and non-moving inventory
  • Run material vendor reconciliation routines; build strong internal controls for day-to-day compliances
  • Actively manage Fixed Asset capitalization and Plant related expenditure
  • Internal Controls & Compliance: Maintain ICFR frameworks, comply with corporate policies, and support audits.
  • Operational Support: Partner with production, supply chain, and engineering to improve plant efficiency.
  • Participate in vendor Payment Terms Negotiation
  • Review of ROI and payback on capital projects
  • Overseas New acquisition Management

Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in finance or accounting; CA/CMA preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience in manufacturing cost accounting and financial analysis.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and communication skills to work with operational teams.
  • Experience: 12-14 years of plant finance experience with at least 23 years in a leadership role.
