Role Overview
The Planning Manager will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and monitoring the planning functions for luxury township and high-rise residential projects. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in large-scale luxury developments, hospitality-led design concepts, and end-to-end project scheduling, reporting, and coordination. The role includes working closely with Project Heads, Consultants, Architects, Contractors, and Management to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Scheduling
- Prepare, update, and monitor detailed project schedules (Primavera/MS Project) for all township and high-rise residential components.
- Develop baseline programs, recovery schedules, and monthly/weekly look-ahead plans.
- Track progress against the master schedule and flag potential delays with mitigation plans.
- Coordination & Interface Management
- Coordinate with architecture, MEP, structural consultants, and contractors to ensure timely delivery of drawings and information.
- Drive inter-departmental coordination ensuring smooth integration between design, engineering, procurement, and execution teams.
- Monitoring & Reporting
- Prepare progress reports (daily/weekly/monthly) with schedule updates, critical path analysis, and key milestones.
- Present project dashboards to senior management with factual insights and recommendations.
- Maintain proper documentation of planning data, change orders, and schedule impacts.
- Resource & Cost Planning
- Work with project teams to forecast manpower, materials, and resource requirements.
- Evaluate cost impacts due to design changes, delays, or variations and support management in planning decisions.
- Risk Management
- Identify project risks related to timelines and dependencies.
- Propose mitigation strategies and ensure proactive planning to avoid delays.
- Conduct periodic risk assessments and update risk registers.
- Quality & Compliance
- Ensure planning practices comply with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Support quality audits, statutory submissions, and approvals timelines.
- Hospitality Sector Integration
- Coordinate planning for hospitality components within the townshipclubhouses, villas, resort-style amenities, and guest management facilities.
- Ensure alignment of planning deliverables with luxury hospitality standards and experience-driven design elements.
Job Expectations
Desired Candidate Profile
- Strong expertise in Primavera P6 / MS Project, planning tools, and data analytics.
- Experience working on large-scale, high-quality, luxury or hospitality-driven developments.
- Strong communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple stakeholders, and deliver within timelines.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's in Planning/Construction Management preferred.
Minimum Job Experience
812 years of experience in planning for luxury townships, high-rise residential, or hospitality sector projects.
