Planning Manager – Metro Construction Project

Location: Chennai, India

Industry: Infrastructure / Metro Rail Construction

Experience: 7+ Years ( 3 years in planning )

Qualification

  • B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years of total experience, with at least 3 years in planning for construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Primavera (P6) proficiency is mandatory.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Planning Manager to lead planning and scheduling activities for a major Metro Construction Project in Chennai. The role involves developing project schedules, monitoring progress, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring timely execution of construction activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules, resource plans, and work breakdown structures (WBS) using Primavera (P6).
  • Monitor the progress of civil, structural, architectural, plumbing, HVAC, and other construction activities.
  • Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, contractors, and client representatives to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Identify potential delays or risks in construction activities and implement corrective planning measures.
  • Track project progress and ensure adherence to project timelines and milestones.
  • Ensure effective coordination of multiple construction activities at site.
  • Prepare progress reports, project updates, and planning documentation.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the planning team and support overall project management.
