Job Description

The Planning Manager role offers the opportunity to support large-scale building and infrastructure projects through effective planning, scheduling, and project coordination. This position plays a key role in managing project timelines, identifying potential delays, supporting claims, and ensuring smooth coordination across internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including detailed baseline schedules, milestones, and resource allocation. Identify potential delays early and implement effective mitigation strategies

  • Change Management and Claims: Oversee change orders and assess their impact on completion dates. Provide technical support for the preparation and substantiation of Extension of Time claims

  • Resource Optimisation: Effectively allocate personnel, materials, and equipment. Coordinate closely with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure adequate staffing and skill sets are maintained across all project phases

  • Risk Mitigation: Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, identify risks, and ensure full compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements

  • Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a central point of communication for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. Facilitate project meetings and provide transparent progress updates

  • Project Closeout: Manage the completion of all project activities, ensuring final documentation, including as-built drawings and records, is accurate and all Extension of Time claims are successfully resolved

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the built environment, specifically within large-scale building or infrastructure projects

  • Experience completing at least one reclamation project is required

  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies and integrated construction management

  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders from both local and international backgrounds
