Job Title: Planning Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Planning Manager to lead project planning, scheduling, and monitoring activities for large-scale construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in government or high-rise building projects, including experience in fast-track project execution. This role requires expertise in project timelines, resource planning, risk management, and coordination with multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, monitor, and update detailed project schedules using industry-standard planning tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Lead planning and scheduling activities for high-rise buildings, infrastructure, or government projects.
  • Prepare baseline programs, cash flow forecasts, and resource-loaded schedules.
  • Track project progress and identify potential delays; implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure alignment with project timelines.
  • Manage fast-track project planning with tight deadlines and overlapping activities.
  • Conduct delay analysis, critical path analysis, and recovery planning.
  • Prepare periodic progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and project milestones.
  • Support tender planning, including preparation of preliminary schedules and methodology.

Required Qualifications Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (Masters degree preferred).
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in construction planning.
  • Proven experience in government projects, high-rise buildings, and fast-track project execution.
  • Strong knowledge of planning software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Excellent understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and resource management.
  • Experience in delay analysis techniques (EOT claims, etc.).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP / Planning Scheduling Professional (PSP) certification is an advantage.
  • Experience working with large EPC contractors or reputed construction firms.
