Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Planning Manager to lead project planning, scheduling, and monitoring activities for large-scale construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in government or high-rise building projects, including experience in fast-track project execution. This role requires expertise in project timelines, resource planning, risk management, and coordination with multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, monitor, and update detailed project schedules using industry-standard planning tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Lead planning and scheduling activities for high-rise buildings, infrastructure, or government projects.
- Prepare baseline programs, cash flow forecasts, and resource-loaded schedules.
- Track project progress and identify potential delays; implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure alignment with project timelines.
- Manage fast-track project planning with tight deadlines and overlapping activities.
- Conduct delay analysis, critical path analysis, and recovery planning.
- Prepare periodic progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management and clients.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and project milestones.
- Support tender planning, including preparation of preliminary schedules and methodology.
Required Qualifications Skills
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (Masters degree preferred).
- Minimum 15 years of experience in construction planning.
- Proven experience in government projects, high-rise buildings, and fast-track project execution.
- Strong knowledge of planning software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Excellent understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and resource management.
- Experience in delay analysis techniques (EOT claims, etc.).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP / Planning Scheduling Professional (PSP) certification is an advantage.
- Experience working with large EPC contractors or reputed construction firms.
