The Planning Engineer will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and coordination for facade (curtain wall, glazing, cladding) projects. The role ensures timely project delivery by tracking progress, managing resources, and minimizing delays.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare project schedules using tools like Primavera (P6) or MS Project
- Develop baseline programs , manpower planning, and resource allocation
- Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and site execution teams
- Track material delivery related to facade systems (aluminium, glass, cladding panels, etc.)
- Identify project risks, delays, and bottlenecks
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports (MIS)
- Conduct delay analysis and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure alignment of planning with site execution activities
- Support project manager in decision-making and reporting
- Maintain documentation related to planning and scheduling
Required Skills- Strong knowledge of facade systems (Curtain Wall, Structural Glazing, ACP Cladding)
- Proficiency in:
- Primavera P6 / MS Project
- Advanced Excel
- Understanding of:
- Project lifecycle in facade works
- BOQ (Bill of Quantities)
- Resource cost planning
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong coordination and communication abilities
Qualification
- B.E / B.Tech / Diploma in Civil / Mechanical Engineering
Experience
- 3 to 8 years of experience in facade or construction industry
- Must have experience in high-rise or commercial projects
Preferred Industry Experience
- Facade / Aluminium / Glass / Building Envelope Industry
