About the Role

We are looking for a Planning Engineer with 8–10 years of experience in Hydro Power and Pumped Storage Projects (PSP) to drive project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and project controls. The role involves developing and tracking project schedules, coordinating with cross-functional teams, analysing project performance, and ensuring timely achievement of project milestones using Primavera P6 and other planning tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6/MS Project.
• Prepare baseline schedules, resource-loaded plans, and project execution timelines.
• Track project progress against planned milestones and identify schedule variances.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Site teams to ensure alignment with project schedules.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
• Conduct critical path analysis, delay analysis, and develop recovery schedules to mitigate project delays.
• Monitor manpower, equipment, and material utilization to optimize project performance.
• Participate in project review meetings with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with contractual milestones and reporting requirements.
• Support project controls, forecasting, risk assessment, and project performance analysis.
• Prepare look-ahead plans and monitor construction productivity for timely project execution.
• Assist project management in decision-making through data-driven planning and scheduling insights.

Qualifications

• Professionals with 8–10 years of experience in Project Planning and Scheduling.
• Candidates with hands-on experience in Hydro Power Projects, Pumped Storage Projects (PSP), Dams, Tunnels, Powerhouses, or Water Infrastructure Projects.

Required Skills

• Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 is mandatory; experience with MS Project is an added advantage.
• Candidates experienced in project monitoring, progress tracking, delay analysis, and recovery planning.
• Professionals with exposure to EPC project environments and multi-disciplinary project coordination.
• Individuals possessing strong analytical, reporting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Strong expertise in Primavera P6 and project scheduling.
• Experience in Hydro Power and Pumped Storage Projects (PSP).
• Proficiency in project planning, monitoring, and progress tracking.
• Knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM), delay analysis, and recovery planning.
• Understanding of EPC project execution and project controls.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel, reporting, and dashboard preparation.
• Strong analytical, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
