Job Description Placement Coordinator

Position: Placement Coordinator

Department: Training & Placement / Career Services

Reports To: Academic Head / Training & Placement Head

Role Overview

The Placement Coordinator is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with recruiters, companies, and industry partners to facilitate student placements. The role involves coordinating placement drives, guiding students in career readiness, ensuring smooth communication between institute and employers, and achieving successful placement outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Industry & Employer Relations:
  • Establish and maintain relationships with recruiters, corporates, and industry stakeholders.
  • Coordinate campus placement drives, interviews, and recruitment events.
  • Identify new opportunities for student placements and internships.
  • Student Support & Preparation:
  • Conduct pre-placement talks, workshops, and mock interviews.
  • Assist students with resume building, soft skills, and interview preparation.
  • Track and mentor students for career readiness.
  • Placement Process Management:
  • Schedule and organize placement activities with recruiters.
  • Ensure smooth communication and coordination during interviews, tests, and drives.
  • Maintain records of student participation, selection, and placement outcomes.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
  • Prepare regular reports on placement statistics, student performance, and employer feedback.
  • Maintain and update placement database and student records.
  • Share insights with management for continuous improvement.
  • Coordination & Collaboration:
  • Work closely with academic and training departments to align student skill development with industry needs.
  • Address and resolve student queries regarding placement processes.
  • Support institutional branding through placement success stories and industry partnerships.

  • Ability to build and manage industry relations.
  • Excellent organizational and coordination abilities.
  • Knowledge of recruitment trends, HR practices, and student career needs.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM, or placement management systems.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Management, Education, or related field.

Prior experience in campus placements, recruitment, or career services preferred.

Freshers with strong communication and networking skills may also apply.
