Job Requirements
- Responsible for the quality and respect of project schedule for assigned piping stress analysis
tasks.
- Preparation of stress critical line list of assigned projects.
- Performs stress calculations of all kinds of piping networks
- Works on piping loads to civil and structural discipline for design of pipe-rack/ technological
structures and foundations
- Designs piping supports components
- Follows Client's technical documentation and requirements
- Preparation of project piping stress specification and critical lines list
- Prepare technical part of requisitions for all piping supports components required by stress
analysis.
- Helps in technical bid evaluation for all piping supports components offers.
- Prepares technical part of requisitions for all piping supports components purchase orders
Commenting of vendor documents for stress related Issues.
- Checking of isometrics being issued for construction for stress and support point of view based
on the stress activity.
- Responsible for the quality, budget and respect of project schedule for piping stress analysis
tasks.
- Reviews the Client's technical documentation and requirements.
- Reviews and approve vendors documents Evaluate pipe flexibility and stress analysis.
- Measure the effects of support settlement, safety relief valves, seismic loads, thermal cycle
loads and wind.
- Select proper springs for necessary support.
- Analysis capabilities for Jacketed Piping system, FRP Piping system, Expansion joints piping
system etc.
- Analysis capabilities the considering the effects of the modular design and transit phase, static
& differential structural deflections associated with fabrication, lift, transit and site installation.
- Evaluate Stress, Displacement, Forces and moments on restraints for support design and
Evaluate piping loads with in allowable allowable nozzle loads.
- Nozzle Flexibilities (WRC) and Stresses.
- Flange Leak Check.
- Dynamic analysis capabilities including modal, harmonic and response spectrum analysis.
- Data sheet preparation for Expansion joints, spring hanger data sheet and updating the Pipe
support standards
- Stress analysis report preparation.
Work Experience
- Engineering Degree or equivalent(Mechanical)
- At least 6 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry in both onshore and/or offshore
facilities and Power Generation sector;
- Languages: Fluent in spoken and written English
- Experience with Auto Pipe and Caesar II software
- Experience with detailed design project (EPC) execution
- Experience of working with various ASME/ API/ NEMA/ TEMA/ ASTM, IS codes and standards
as well as various PMC standards.
- Conversant with stress analysis of piping connected to various types of equipment like Column,
tanks, exchangers, pumps/ compressors/ reactors etc.
- Perform evaluation of nozzle loads or vessels stress utilizing WRC 107/297 capability of Caesar
II program.
- Conversant with Anchor study requirements.
- Conversant with requirements like trunnion calculation, flange leakage calculations, qualification
of allowable nozzle loads etc.
- Should have the flexibility to work on areas other than core competence.
- Advanced analytical, problem solving, accuracy, attention to details, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to establish and meet deadlines for the task provided and effectively achieve the goals in
fast paced environment is critical.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English is essential.
- Ability to foster communication within diverse cultural environments.
