Job Description

We're looking for a Piping Engineer with 2-5 years of experience in industrial piping design to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing the layout of entire plant facilities and creating detailed designs using various software tools. You'll work in both 2D and 3D environments, ensuring the integrity of our designs and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Layout: Determine and develop the layout of overall plant facilities, including detailed design using tools like Plant 3D and AutoCAD.
  • Documentation: Work in a 2D/3D model environment to produce project-specific documents such as PIDs, piping plan section views, and isometrics. You'll also develop and update piping material specifications and Bills of Materials (MTO).
  • Technical Analysis: Review and analyze technical documents, design documents from equipment suppliers, and vendor submittals. You will also review 3D models to ensure design integrity and participate in clash coordination meetings.
  • Collaboration: Effectively collaborate with lead offices and other disciplines in work-share environments. You'll interact with all project stakeholders, including interdisciplinary teams, clients, and vendors, to facilitate project success.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2-5 years of working experience in industrial piping design.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with projects in the North America region and knowledge of Plant 3D are a plus. You should also have a strong knowledge of piping material specifications and be familiar with national and international codes and standards (IS, ASME, API, BS, EN).
