Piping Design Engineer

Role Description:

Eastman is currently seeking a qualified Piping Engineer with 7 to 12 years of experience in the Chemical/ Petro chemical/Oil & gas industry. As a Piping Engineer, you will be responsible for Design and ensuring piping systems meet industry standards and project specifications. This role requires to perform piping design with or without direct supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with various ASME, API codes and standards.

Understanding of P&IDs & Project workflow

Equipment modelling using E3D/PDMS software for Tanks, Pumps, Heat exchangers, Compressors, Furnace etc.

Piping Modelling using E3D software for Process and utility lines as per the P&ID.

Pipe Support modelling and updating as per the stress engineer updates.

Equipment layout Extraction from Draw module. Piping iso-metric extraction from Iso-draft.

Knowledge in LFM data (laser scan). Ability to add value and optimize the design.

Ability to drive 3D model review Knowledge of ASTM Material standard (Piping materials Standards).

Inter disciplinary check

Coordinate with Civil/Structural, Electrical/Instrumentation & Mechanical groups to ensure the inputs are being effectively communicated.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical engineering.

7-12 years of relevant experience in Chemical, Oil & Gas industry.

Should be an effective Team player and possess good communication skills
