Job Description

As a key contributor within Qualcomm's hardware engineering team, you will design, optimize, verify, and test advanced electronic systems spanning digital, analog, RF, optical, and mechanical domains. Leveraging your expertise in circuit design, schematic simulation, and lab measurement tools (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF equipment), you will play a critical role in bringing up silicon products and improving manufacturing yield and test quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the integration and implementation of hardware features aligned with product roadmaps and design proposals.
  • Conduct complex simulations and analyses to optimize designs for power, performance, and area efficiency.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, validation, software, architecture, and systems teams to incorporate new requirements and enhance test solutions.
  • Drive characterization, reliability evaluation, and manufacturing solutions for advanced semiconductor processes to meet stringent product schedules and customer expectations.
  • Innovate and automate test and production processes to maximize productivity and product quality.
  • Identify potential design flaws, compliance issues, and system compatibility challenges.
  • Produce detailed technical documentation supporting hardware design and validation projects.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, contributing to team development and success.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of hardware engineering experience, including:
  • Circuit design (digital, analog, RF).
  • Use of schematic capture and circuit simulation software.
  • Hands-on experience with measurement instruments like oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of hardware engineering experience.
  • At least 1 year in a technical leadership role (formal or informal).
