Physical Design Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Physical Design Engineer to join a world-class semiconductor international team. You will contribute to advanced technology node projects, focusing on floorplanning, synthesis, place & route, and integration of custom blocks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work on floorplanning in advanced technology nodes
• Develop synthesis and place & route flows
• Integrate several custom blocks
• Run P&R netlists through power analysis tools

Requirements:

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science or related field
• 7+ years of relevant industry experience
• Minimum of 2 tape-outs completed
• Strong expertise in synthesis, place & route flows, floorplanning, and wire planning
• Experience with clock tree synthesis/custom clock trees
• Proficiency with EDA tools from Synopsys, Cadence, or Mentor
• Strong TCL scripting skills
• Knowledge of physical design verification and sign-off methodologies (timing closure, DRC, LVS)
• Knowledge of DFT methods and Tessent flow is a plus
