The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications, APIs, and backend systems using Laravel and related technologies. You should have a strong grasp of modern PHP practices, database optimization, and application performance tuning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy web applications using Laravel Framework (v8/v9/10) and PHP 7/8.
- Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following best practices (SOLID, OOP, MVC).
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.
- Work with MySQL/PostgreSQL databases: design schemas, write optimized queries, and handle migrations.
- Integrate third-party services and APIs (e.g., payment gateways, messaging APIs, OAuth, etc.).
- Implement queue management, job scheduling, and background processing (e.g., Redis, Horizon, RabbitMQ).
- Ensure application security (XSS, CSRF, SQL Injection prevention) and performance optimization.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and deployment processes.
- Maintain version control with Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in PHP 7/8 and Laravel framework.
- Experience with MySQL, query optimization, and Eloquent ORM.
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs, JSON, AJAX, and API authentication (JWT, Passport, Sanctum).
- Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript basics.
- Familiarity with Composer, Artisan commands, and Laravel ecosystem tools.
- Knowledge of caching (Redis, Memcached), queues, and task scheduling.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills (Good To Have)
- Experience with Docker / Kubernetes for containerized deployments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.
- Frontend experience in Vue.js / React.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
