We are looking for a PHP Developer responsible for managing back-end web services and the interchange of data between the server and users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from remote clients. Since these web services are accessed 24/7/365 with many terabytes of throughput, your code will have to meet a high standard of resilience and performance. For internal-to-company web applications, you will also be responsible for integrating front-end elements into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks.
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS.
- Knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming.
- Understanding accessibility and security compliance.
- Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions.
- Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
- User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments.
- Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system.
- Familiarity with the limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds.
- Creating database schemas.
- Familiarity with MYSQL and very high proficiency in the query language and optimization.
- Proficient use of code versioning tools, such as Subversion, Git.
- Experience: 2-4 years.
- Education: BE(IT, CS, EEE).
