Pharmacist

The Pharmacist will be responsible for preparing, dispensing, and administering appropriate pharmaceuticals to patients in the MMU. The role requires executing physicians orders accurately, providing advice and guidance to patients, and ensuring legal and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and maintain the pharmacy for efficient identification and dispensing of medicines.
• Stock, label, and monitor medicines and other pharmaceutical products to prevent expiry or deterioration.
• Review and execute physicians prescriptions, ensuring appropriateness and legality.
• Provide patient guidance, advice, and support on medicines and related health issues.
• Assist in other medical services, such as administering injections and measuring blood pressure or temperature.
• Maintain records of patient history and all pharmaceutical activities.
• Comply with all legal regulations, pharmacy procedures, and safety standards.
• Liaise with medical officers and healthcare personnel to exchange patient-related information.
• Support the MMU team during routine mobile OPDs, health camps, or emergencies.
• Undertake other duties as assigned by Coordinating Office management.

Educational Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor in Pharmacy (D. Pharma / B. Pharma) from a recognized institution.
• Registration with the Pharmacy Council is mandatory.

Experience & Requirements:

• 13 years of experience in field clinics, hospitals, or public health programs.
• Familiarity with Hindi and local dialects.
• Patience, positive attitude, and ability to work in field conditions.
• Experience in community mobilization is desirable.
