Job Summary:
Responsible for providing basic medical support at the mine site, including dispensary management, first-aid care and coordination of medical assistance while ensuring compliance with statutory and occupational health requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and operate the mine-site dispensary.
- Act as the first point of contact for medical issues at site.
- Provide first-aid treatment and dispense medicines.
- Assess medical emergencies and escort/shift patients to the nearest hospital as required.
- Coordinate with ambulance services, hospitals and site management during emergencies.
- Maintain inventory, storage, expiry control of medicines and emergency drugs.
- Maintain medical records, injury/accident registers and statutory documentation.
- Support DGMS compliance, medical fitness records and occupational health programs.
- Assist during medical inspections, audits and statutory visits.
Qualification & Certification:
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
- Registered Pharmacist with State Pharmacy Council (mandatory)
Experience:
- 27 years of experience as a Pharmacist (Mining industry preferred)
