Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teaching & Academic Duties

  • Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in subjects such as:
  • Physical Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Technology, Novel Drug Delivery Systems, etc.
  • Develop course content, lesson plans, lab manuals, and assessment tools.
  • Guide students in academic projects, case studies, and seminar presentations.
  • Conduct internal assessments, evaluate student performance, and participate in examination duties.

2. Research & Publications

  • Conduct independent and collaborative research in pharmaceutics and formulation science.
  • Publish research papers in reputed national and international journals.
  • Apply for research grants and participate in funded research projects.

3. Laboratory & Project Supervision

  • Supervise practical and research work in formulation labs, pilot plant setups, and simulation models.
  • Ensure safe and effective use of lab instruments and materials.
  • Guide M.Pharm students in thesis/dissertation work (if applicable).

4. Academic Administration

  • Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and academic audits.
  • Assist in organizing conferences, workshops, guest lectures, and industry visits.
  • Maintain student records and contribute to institutional quality assurance (e.g., NAAC, NBA).

5. Student Mentoring & Support

  • Serve as a mentor for assigned students, supporting their academic and career development.
  • Provide counseling related to higher studies, internships, and placements.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education:
  • M.Pharm in Pharmaceutics (mandatory)
  • Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics or registered for Ph.D. (preferred as per UGC/PCI norms)
  • Experience:
  • 0–3 years of teaching or relevant research/industry experience (freshers with excellent academic background may be considered)
  • Registration:
  • Registered pharmacist under the State Pharmacy Council (preferred)

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong subject knowledge in core and advanced pharmaceutics
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Research aptitude and familiarity with scientific writing
  • Proficiency in MS Office, formulation software, and statistical tools
  • Teamwork, punctuality, and academic ethics
