Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Psychology Teacher at Mondrian High. The teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging, inquiry-driven Psychology lessons for Grades 9 to 12.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering interactive and concept-based Psychology lessons
- Designing lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
- Encouraging critical thinking through discussions, case studies, research activities, and projects
- Assessing student progress through assignments, presentations, and examinations
- Creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment for open dialogue
- Guiding students in understanding psychological theories, research methods, and real-world applications
- Mentoring students and supporting their academic and personal growth
- Collaborating with colleagues to enrich interdisciplinary learning experiences
- Participating actively in school events, workshops, and professional development initiatives
Qualifications
- Strong academic background in Psychology
- Experience teaching middle and/or senior school students (Grades 912 preferred)
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Ability to handle sensitive topics with maturity and professionalism
- Student-centered, empathetic, and adaptable teaching approach
- Relevant degree and teaching certification in Psychology or related field
- Experience with the Cambridge curriculum will be preferred
