Position Overview

The primary responsibility of this position will be to teach Mathematics to senior secondary students (Classes 9 to 12), prepare them for board exams, and inspire them to develop a deep understanding and appreciation of the subject. Job Description

Promote the improvement of teaching and learning in the school.

Teach mathematics at the senior secondary level (Classes 9 to 12) as per the prescribed curriculum.

Plan and deliver well-structured and engaging lessons that foster a strong foundation in various mathematical concepts such as algebra, calculus, geometry, probability, and statistics.

Use a variety of teaching techniques (e.g., interactive lessons, problem-solving, real-life applications) to cater to different learning styles and abilities.

Design and conduct regular formative and summative assessments (quizzes, tests, and assignments) to monitor student progress.

Provide timely, constructive feedback on student performance, offering support to help improve their understanding and problem-solving skills.

Maintain detailed records of student progress and communicate with parents/guardians about academic performance when necessary.

Create a positive, disciplined, and respectful classroom environment that encourages student participation and independent thinking.

Foster critical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities in students.

Develop and implement detailed lesson plans, teaching aids, and learning materials in line with the school's curriculum and teaching objectives.

Stay updated with the latest developments in mathematics education and incorporate innovative teaching strategies into the curriculum.

Offer additional help to students who require extra attention, whether through remedial classes or one-on-one sessions.

Encourage students to explore mathematics beyond the curriculum through extracurricular activities, math clubs, and participation in competitions and Olympiads.

Continuously enhance teaching skills by participating in professional development workshops, seminars, and conferences.

Engage in self-study and research to keep up with advancements in the field of mathematics and educational technologies.

Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff members to enhance the overall teaching environment.

Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and discussions regarding student progress and departmental improvements.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master's degree in mathematics (M.Sc. Mathematics or equivalent).
  • Bachelor's degree in education (B.Ed.) / UGC NET qualified.
  • A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in Mathematics at the senior secondary level (Classes 9 to 12).
  • Deep knowledge of mathematical concepts and their real-world applications.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with the latest teaching methods and technologies in mathematics education.

  • Enthusiastic about teaching and instilling a passion for mathematics.
  • Patient and approachable, with the ability to explain complex topics in a simple and engaging manner.
  • Well-organized with good time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
