PGT English Teacher

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons for senior secondary classes (Class 11 & 12).
• Design curriculum-aligned teaching materials, worksheets, and assessments that develop critical reading, writing, and speaking skills.
• Conduct regular formative and summative assessments, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate academic records.
• Implement experiential learning techniques such as debates, dramatics, and project‑based assignments to foster analytical thinking.
• Mentor and guide students for board examinations, university admissions, and competitive examinations (e.g., JEE, NEET).
• Collaborate with fellow faculty members to integrate cross‑disciplinary activities and uphold the school's academic standards.
• Participate in faculty development programs, parent‑teacher meetings, and school events.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment adhering to the institution's policies.

Essential Qualifications

• Master's degree in English Literature, Language, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification (e.g., B.Ed., CTET, or state teacher eligibility).
• Strong command of English grammar, literature, and contemporary pedagogy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desired Experience

• Minimum 2–4 years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level (Class 11/12).
• Proven track record of improving student performance in board examinations.
• Experience with digital learning tools, online platforms, and blended teaching methods.
• Experience in extracurricular activities such as debates, literary clubs, or dramatics is an advantage.
