A well-established CBSE school in South West Delhi is looking to appoint an experienced PGT English Teacher to lead English Language and Literature instruction for senior secondary students (Grades 11 & 12).
This is a senior academic role, ideal for an educator who is deeply passionate about literature, language, and shaping critical thinking and communication skills in young adults.
Role Overview:
As a PGT English teacher, you will be responsible for delivering in-depth instruction in English Literature and Language in alignment with the CBSE curriculum. You will play a key role in academic excellence while also inspiring students to develop a genuine appreciation for language, literature, and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach English Language and Literature to Grades 11 and 12 as per CBSE guidelines
- Plan and deliver structured, engaging, and curriculum-aligned lesson plans
- Conduct regular assessments, examinations, and evaluations
- Provide constructive feedback to support student improvement and growth
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and academic progress
- Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and literary appreciation in the classroom
- Organise and participate in literary activities, debates, and discussions
- Serve as a role model for effective communication and academic integrity
Qualifications & Experience:
- BA English (Hons), MA English, B.Ed. from one of the top universities in India (full-time programmes only)
- Minimum 7 years of post-qualification experience teaching in a reputed school in a similar capacity
