Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned PGT English lessons for grades 11–12, aligning with CBSE/ISC Board guidelines.
- Design and implement student-centered pedagogy using digital tools, literature-based activities, and critical thinking frameworks.
- Assess student performance through formative and summative evaluations, providing timely feedback and remediation strategies.
- Collaborate with department heads to co-create lesson plans, conduct peer reviews, and participate in curriculum innovation workshops.
- Mentor students for competitive exams, public speaking, debate, and creative writing competitions.
- Maintain academic records, attend parent-teacher meetings, and contribute to school-wide literacy initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- PGT certification or B.Ed with MA in English
- CBSE/ISC/State Board curriculum expertise
- Classroom management proficiency
- Google Classroom or LMS tool familiarity
- Competency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
- Student assessment & evaluation techniques
Preferred
- Experience with flipped classroom or blended learning models
- Certification in literature pedagogy or creative writing instruction
- Prior teaching in urban private or international schools
