Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and academically strong Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in English with extensive experience in ICSE and ISC curriculum delivery. The candidate must have a convent school educational background and a proven track record of teaching Classes IX to XII with excellent board results.
Educational Qualification
Post Graduate in English (M.A. English – Mandatory)
B.Ed. – Mandatory
Convent School Background Preferred
Strong academic record throughout
Experience Required
12–15 years of teaching experience in ICSE and ISC schools
Experience in handling Classes IX to XII (including Board Classes X & XII)
Proven experience in preparing students for ICSE and ISC Board Examinations
Key Responsibilities
Teach English Language and English Literature to Classes IX–XII as per ICSE & ISC syllabus
Prepare annual lesson plans, unit plans, and structured academic planners
Conduct regular assessments, class tests, and mock examinations
Ensure completion of syllabus within the academic timeline
Provide focused guidance for board exam preparation (X & XII)
Evaluate answer scripts as per ICSE & ISC marking schemes
Maintain academic records, progress reports, and feedback documentation
Organize literary activities such as debates, elocution, creative writing, and school magazine contributions
Attend PTMs, staff meetings, workshops, and training sessions
Core Competencies
Strong command over English grammar, literature, and writing skills
In-depth understanding of ICSE & ISC exam pattern and marking scheme
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Ability to mentor senior secondary students
Result-oriented and academically driven
Strong interpersonal and coordination skills
Preferred Attributes
Experience as Subject Coordinator / Examiner (added advantage)
Exposure to ISC project work guidance and viva preparation
Ability to integrate ICT tools in teaching
