Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and academically rigorous
IIT/JEE Chemistry Teacher to prepare students for
JEE Main and JEE Advanced. The role requires a rare balance of
numerical problem-solving (Physical Chemistry),
mechanistic clarity (Organic Chemistry), and
structured memory frameworks (Inorganic Chemistry)all aligned to evolving JEE question patterns.
The educator will be responsible for building deep conceptual understanding, exam-oriented problem analysis, and consistent performance improvement under timed conditions.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
- Deliver complete JEE Chemistry syllabus coverage across Physical, Organic, and Inorganic Chemistry at Mains & Advanced depth.
- Ensure measurable improvement in student speed, accuracy, and problem-analysis ability in chemistry sections.
- Design and deliver high-quality practice tests, topic-wise diagnostics, and exam-strategy workshops.
- Build exam-ready habits including structured problem solving, calculation efficiency, and error minimization.
Core Teaching & Academic Responsibilities
Curriculum Planning & Instruction
- Plan detailed lesson sequences covering:
- Physical Chemistry: stoichiometry, thermodynamics, equilibrium, kinetics, electrochemistry, solutions
- Organic Chemistry: reaction mechanisms, synthesis pathways, functional group transformations
- Inorganic Chemistry: periodic trends, coordination chemistry, qualitative analysis
- Teach stepwise problem-solving and mechanism walkthroughs with emphasis on method clarity and partial-credit scoring.
- Use mnemonics, flowcharts, and revision frameworks to strengthen inorganic chemistry retention.
- Conduct lab-oriented conceptual sessions (demonstrations/simulations) to reinforce experimental reasoning.
Problem Solving & Exam Training
- Design:
- Numerical drills and stoichiometric problem sets
- Organic synthesis and multi-step mechanism exercises
- Mixed-concept Advanced-level questions
- Teach problem decomposition, approximation techniques, and calculation shortcuts.
- Train students to handle multi-concept and high-difficulty questions efficiently.
- Guide students on exam-day strategies, resource prioritisation, and question selection techniques specific to JEE Chemistry.
Assessment, Diagnostics & Performance Tracking
- Create topic-wise mini-mocks, cumulative tests, and full-length JEE-style mock exams.
- Perform error pattern analysis (conceptual gaps, calculation errors, memory lapses).
- Maintain student performance trackers covering accuracy, speed, and topic mastery.
- Use assessment data to design targeted remediation and enrichment pathways.
- Build and maintain a curated question bank, classified by concept, difficulty, and exam relevance.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Chemistry.
- Teaching qualification - B.Ed.
- Minimum 5 years teaching experience
- 5 years of experience teaching grade XI & XII for JEE Mains & Advance or NEET.
- This is a full-time, on-campus role requiring complete professional commitment.
- Concurrent employment, freelance work, or private tuition during the academic year is not permitted.
- Pursuing any regular academic programme (full-time or part-time) that interferes with school responsibilities is not permissible.
- Candidates must be able to dedicate their time fully and professional focus to the school and students.
(Any short-term or online certifications must be disclosed at the time of application.)
