Job Role: PGT Biology Teacher
Core Purpose
To teach Biology to senior secondary students with clarity and depth, support them through the CBSE curriculum, and help them build strong analytical and scientific thinking skills.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging Biology lessons that align with CBSE guidelines and meet the academic needs of Classes XIXII.
Plan and conduct practical sessions with proper safety measures, maintain lab readiness, and ensure students complete all required practical records.
Prepare lesson plans, assessments, worksheets, and learning material that strengthen conceptual understanding.
Evaluate student performance fairly, maintain academic records, and provide timely feedback.
Guide students in board exam preparation, science fairs, Olympiads, research projects, and subject enrichment activities.
Identify learning gaps and offer additional support when needed.
Maintain classroom discipline, create a positive learning space, and uphold school values.
Participate in academic planning, departmental discussions, workshops, and school-wide programs.
Qualifications And Skills
Master's degree in Biology or Life Sciences.
BEd as per CBSE norms.
Strong command over subject concepts, lab processes, and curriculum requirements.
Clear communication, classroom management, and student mentoring skills.
Comfort with digital tools and CBSE assessment patterns.
