Job Title: Perl Developer (5 Positions)

Location: Bangalore / Noida / Hyderabad (Hybrid 2 days in office per week)

Experience: 36 Years

Mode of Hire: Permanent

Notice Period: Immediate joiners only

Job Summary

Join our team as a Perl Developer, where you'll design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient Perl scripts and applications. Working across hybrid locationsBangalore, Noida, and Hyderabadyou'll support key enterprise systems using your expertise in Perl, Unix/Linux, and SQL. Exposure to ETL, AWS, API integrations, and HL7 involvement is highly desirable.

Core Responsibilities

Write, review, and maintain clean, efficient Perl scripts and applications to meet business requirements.

Develop optimized and maintainable SQL queries; design schema enhancements where required.

Debug, troubleshoot, and enhance existing Perl-based applications.

Automate ETL workflows and data ingestion (Nicetohave).

Perform version control using Git; participate in peer code reviews.

Integrate Perl scripts with external APIs and services (Nicetohave).

Build and maintain technical documentation for scripts, modules, and processes.

Collaborate in agile teamsstandups, sprint planning, retrospective sessions.

Contribute to performance tuning, refactoring, and legacy system maintenance.

Must-Have Skills (Required)

Strong proficiency in Perl programming (ideally Perl5) and its ecosystem.

Solid experience with Unix/Linux operating systems and shell scripting.

Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).

Nice-to-Have (Preferred)

Hands-on with ETL frameworks or workflows.

Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms (e.g., S3, Lambda).

Familiarity with API integration, SOAP/REST, and messaging protocols.

Domain knowledge in HL7 healthcare data standards.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent hands-on experience).

36 years of professional Perl development experience.

Must be able to join immediately.

Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with strong attention to detail.

Effective communicator, capable of working independently and within crossfunctional teams.
